15-16 of June, 2017 the Head of the city of Izhevsk Mr. Yuri Tyurin will take part in the Second meeting of the Council for interregional cooperation «Volga-Yangtze» in the city of Hefei, Anhui Province, China

    On 15-16 of June, 2017 the Head of the city of Izhevsk Mr. Yuri Tyurin is going to take part in the Second meeting of the Council for interregional cooperation in the «Volga-Yangtze» format with the participation of the Volga Federal district regions, Russia and the middle and upper streams of the Yangtze river, China. The meeting will be held in the city of Hefei, Anhui Province, China under the chairmanship of the co-chairman of the Council for interregional cooperation «Volga-Yangtze», the Presidential Envoy Plenipotentiary in the Volga Federal District Mr. Mikhail Babich and the member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Yang Jiechi.

    Within the framework of the meeting the Agreement on twinning relations establishment between the city of Izhevsk, the Udmurt Republic, the Russian Federation and the city of Wuhan, Hubei province, the People’s Republic of China is planned to be signed. Its aim is to secure the partner relations between the cities of Izhevsk and Wuhan that were established on June 15th, 2016 when the Protocol on friendship, exchanges and cooperation between two cities was signed. The Agreement provides for mutual development of friendly contacts along with trade and economic connections between the parties, for exchange of experience between specialists and cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, science, technology, culture, sport, health protection, education, etc.

    Delegates from subjects of the Volga Federal District will also take part in the meeting.
