

13 September 2015 – the 12th Red Festival events took part in Izhevsk
The 12th Red Festival was held at the Cosmonauts Park and on the Central Square.
The event is one of the favourite holidays of Izhevsk citizens. Every year it became better, enlarged with new festives, spaces, competitions, master classes and more visitors. This year the festival was dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia and the 175th Jubilee of Great Composer P. Chaikovskiy.

The Red Festival itself opened at 12.00 on the main stage of the Cosmonauts Park and included performances by kids’ artistic collectives and the P.I. Chaikovskiy Municipal Choir.
The festival events also included folk craftsmen workshops, competitions of red baby carriages, theatrical collectives competition called Red Mask, art collectives and performers competition Red Tune, Red Pets competition, active games, intellectual games, dancing master classes, sporting competitions. For the first time participants of the festival included circus artists, puppet theatre artists and Tol Babai – Udmurt Santa Claus with his helper Ryzhik.
At 12.00 there was also the opening of the dendropark “Russian Garden”.

The Union of Non-commercial Gardening Communions of Udmurtia organized a marketplace at the territory of the Izhstal ice rink.
The final of the IV annual city competition “Red Beauty” took place on the Central Square at 17.00. Ekaterina Kuligina was awarded with the first prize.
At 19.00 the visitors on the Central Square enjoyed the musical performances by Nadezhda Utkina, Ptitsa Tiloburdo group, SilentWooGoore group and others. Nadezhda Utkina also performed the song “I Love you, Izhevsk”, which she wrote herself, performed for the first time at the Non-commercial Organizations forum. The music for the song was written by Egor Ivanov, the pupil of the A. Pushkin 22nd Linguistic school.
The events of 13th September took place in the different parts of the cities: Kirov Park prepared a concert called Sunny World, M. Gorkiy Park organized a program Red Festival in Gorkiy Park, and the State Zoo celebrated its birthday.
