Izhevsk was awarded with diplomas of the VII International Review Competition of City Practices in CIS cities and EurAsEC “City One Wants to Live In” – 2014
Review Competition of City Practices was incepted by the International Association of Capital and Big Cities and organized together with the CIS Executive Committee, EurAsEC Integrational Committee, Russian Federation State Council Committee for Federative State and Local Government, Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and Russian Local Governments Council.
The Competition is aimed at finding, categorizing and promoting the experience of cities from the participating states from CIS and EurAsEC in solving local issues, so that the experience could be replicated in other cities.
The City of Izhevsk was awarded for:
-Organization of the implementation of budget technologies, oriented towards the result and realization of municipal program “Rising the effectiveness of the use of budget funds of the City of Izhevsk”;
-Organization of the First Russian Forum of Living Cities;
The Administration of Leninskiy District was awarded for:
-Realization of the project “I Am HOME!” aimed at helping kids with no parents to find new family and developing innovations in domestic waste disposal.
The Administration of Oktyabrskiy District was awarded for:
-Realization of the innovative project aimed at attracting young specialist for municipal service called “Seat for rent”
The Municipal Budget Company “Centralized Library System of Izhevsk” was awarded for:
- Organization and realization of the city book festival “You Read, Izhevsk!”
