Udmurt State University

The educational, research and cadre potential of the Udmurt State University that was accumulated during almost 80 years of its history allows an effective solution of the current tasks and problems that the University is faced with and saving the status of the dynamically developing multisectoral educational and scientific centre of the Udmurt Republic.

In the National rating of the institutes of higher education where 51 universities of 7 federal districts of Russia are presented the Udmurt State University takes 22-25 rank.

More than 23 thousand of students study at 14 faculties and 7 institutes of humanist, natural-science and technical specializations.

Izhevsk international relations today can hardly be imagined without contacts in scientific and educational spheres. International activity of the Udmurt State University is basically conducted in the following directions:

·        joint educational and research work under international projects and programs;

·        activity under multilateral and bilateral contracts between universities and other research and education institutions;

·        cooperation with international organizations;

·        organization of the exchange programs between colleges.

The Udmurt University maintains partner relations under 20 international contracts with colleagues of CIS, Europe, Asia and USA.

Students have a chance not only to take part in exchange programs and go to study to Finland, Spain and South Korea with the university’s aide, but also test themselves in international academic programs, and go abroad through programs offering summer job to students as well.

-  Center for Spanish Language and Culture

Spanish language teaching. Distribution and promotion of Spanish culture.

 

-  French Center of Resources

Enhancement of partnership in the sphere of higher education and French language training. Promotion of French academic programs among Russian students.

 

-  Center for American Studies

Development of interdisciplinary research on studying different aspects of life in the United States. Organization of scientific and social events, consultations on USA academic programs.

 

- International education center

Teaching Russian as a foreign language. The IEC teaching staff tend to elaborate and implement new tuition methods and technologies based on individual approach and differential principles, providing high quality and effectiveness of training through a wide range of Russian language courses.
