Mantatskaya – spokeswoman	Monday – Friday: 10.00 AM – 6.00 PM Saturday – Sunday: 10.00 AM – 5.00 PM	Basic fields of concern of “Galereya” EC are promotion of modern and currently central art through exhibitions, campaigns and performances; maintaining and development of national culture traditions through organization of efforts of decorative arts craftsmen in an experimental creative workshop and teaching people of all ages in the “Harmony” studio. “Galereya” EC takes part in net projects and cultural programs (including participating in the activity of net marathon “Volga Region Capital of Culture”). “Galereya” cooperates with museums, private galleries, collectors and creative groups. During the 10-year period of work “Galereya” exhibited artists celebrated not only in Russia but also abroad: Zurab Tsereteli, Tatyana Nazarenko and Leonid Tishkov, “Mitki” creative group from Saint Petersburg and “Vernisage 1+20” association of abstractionists from Moscow, photographers Alik Yakubovich, Igor Mukhin and many others. The Small Exhibition Hall holds regular trade fair of decorative art created by craftsmen from Izhevsk and other Russian central cities of national craft. There is a tourist division “Galereya-Tour” organizing field excursions along Udmurtia, Izhevsk and other cities of Russia as part of “Galereya” EC.

M.T.Kalashnikov offers interesting items for people of all ages. Its expositions and exhibitions represent the world of arms, fates of people and companies, weaponry and can fascinate both adults and children. Informative and educational programs, excursions and lectures are differentiated in order to meet the interests of both specialists and those who only take first steps in discovering the world of weaponry.

The exposition is a system of exhibitions that gives an idea of the nature and history of the region that is an ancestral home for Finno-Ugric people. The ethnic history of Udmurts, Russians, Maris and Tatars living in the region is represented in rich collections and museum composites of national costumes, utensils and other items that speak of life, customs, ceremonies and religion of the people. Udmurts belong to the small number of world nations preserving paganism. Udmurt Republic in general and Izhevsk in particular are known globally as a smithy of army, hunting and sports weapons. Expositions on history of Izhevsk weaponry and military history of the area are an object of constant interest of Russian and foreign tourists of all ages.

The zoo has an impressive list of inhabitants: tigers, leopards, polar and brown bears and other mammals, birds and snakes of all species. Even monkeys who usually seem to have a hard time living in this climate managed to find shelter in the Izhevsk Zoo. The Zoo has everything: a swan pond, a cafe, playground for children, houses for animals. The houses are not located chaotically, but in special sets: “Our taiga”, “Tropics”, “Heath” and some others.

By the year 2006 its basic stock had 7460 items. The collection is based on the works of artists and national craftsmen of Udmurtia. There are also collections of graphic art, pictorial art, decorative art, Russian icons of later period, and sculpture in this Museum. Each collection reflects in its own way the development of visual and decorative Russian art of XIX-XXth centuries.

Within the period of 2006-2009 it carried out 28 events. The total amount of involved exhibitors during this period was 2 103 companies with 706 of them from 29 regions of Russia and also Ukraine, Latvia, Switzerland, Germany and other countries. Enterprises of Udmurtia took an active part in exhibitions of the republic: 1 397 companies were theirs participants during the 4-year period of 2006-2009. Total exhibition area equaled 24 912 square kilometres. The statistics showed that total number of visitors was close to 157 500. Visitors geography: enterprise representatives from Central, Volga, and Ural Federal Disctricts of Russia. Information support for the exhibitions was provided by 399 specialized and universal print publications and 293 web sites of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic.
